Ann Wilson Worley was appointed to the Common Council in August of 2003. In 2006, she was elected to represent Ward II.  Formerly, she was the City’s Recreation Director from 1992 – 1997. During that time, Worley also assisted with the development of the City’s recycling program and volunteered with Beckley Mainstreet. From 1997 to 2007 she worked as a real estate appraiser for her brother, Robert G. Wilson, Jr. (Tyke) at Wilson and Associates.

By working for the City of Beckley as Recreation Director for five years and being an active Council member for seven, she has gained experience and knowledge of the daily activities and challenges of the various departments within the City of Beckley. Worley is also a member of the West Virginia Municipal League Board of Directors where she holds the office of Parliamentarian. She enjoys working with the residents in her ward to help them maintain a good quality of life in the City of Beckley.

  • Graduate WVU, Bachelor of Arts in Theatre
  • Elder, Beckley Presbyterian Church; Have participated as a Mentor for young women who have chosen to be confirmed in our church.
